RAMPAS

The single width Roll-a-Ramp available in either 26" (66cm) or 30" (76.2cm) is ideal for scooter use (as well as wheelchairs of course). These ramps can provide scooter access for disabled persons into the rear or side of either converted vans or people carriers etc.

They will accept a load of around ½ a ton (450kg) and can be readily deployed with the top tread simply resting on the loading platform or fixed semi-permanently by use of the optional bracket kit. The ramp can then be rolled up and kept in the vehicle for use upon arrival. Each Roll-a-Ramp is fabricated out of high tensile anodised aerospace aluminium and is therefore easy to handle and deploy. Each ramp has built-in side safety rails to help prevent wheels rolling off the edge and has special "on off" treads at the top and bottom which provide a smooth jar free access on and off the ramp for easy access for the disabled person.

Rampas2.

Although low in weight the single width Roll-a-Ramp can, depending upon its length, hold a evenly distributed weight of up to 1,000 lbs. (453.6kg). This means that a scooter, its occupant and two other people could be safely supported. Treads can be added or removed at will by use of the simple tools provided and therefore should the application change it is not necessary to purchase a complete new ramp.
